Support for carers is a key part of support for vulnerable people. Support for carers also enables carers to continue with their lives, families, work and contribution to their community. The number of carers whose needs were assessed or reviewed by the council in a year who received a specific carers service, or advice and information in the same year as a percentage of people receiving a community based service in the year.
