Background information
Incapacity Benefit is a non means-tested benefit paid to people who are incapable of work due to ill health and who have paid sufficient National Insurance contributions. The benefit dataset is coded for medical conditions, to which the Department for Work and Pensions matched International Classification of Diseases Version 10 (ICD-10) codes.
