QandQ

NERIP

Welcome to the NERIP Research Finder tool QandQ

This self-help tool is being developed to help you locate research literature that could support you in the development of public policy and can also be used to identify key academic staff with an interest in your public policy theme based in the North East. To access the search engines click on the tabs above.

QandQ has been developed in collaboration with Knowledge House as part of the suite of complementary mapping tools to identify research and consultancy expertise at the region's five Universities; Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside.

Research Finder

This facility, which uses Google technology, searches the website of the research centres of the region’s Universities which have an interest in the regional strategic themes. You just need to enter keywords to search for documents that could provide you with research evidence that could inform your policy development.

Academic Contact

This facility provides you with a list of academic staff from across the five universities of the North East with an interest in your policy area. The database can be searched using the strategic theme, Research Centre or individual names.

The nine regional strategic themes are currently Enterprise, Housing, Innovation, People Skills & Inclusion, Place, Quality of Life, Regional & Sub-regional Economic Development, Sustainability and Transport. The intention is that over time, the list of websites within the scope of the tool will be extended, and will include public sector and other relevant organisations, as well as the Universities.
